Osaki Massage Chair Models Comparison Charts – Features Explanation

The above tables show core features that differentiate between models.

Roller Mobility

It defines the movement ability of the rollers. More dimensions are always a good sign but also add extra dollars for the massage chair.

For those not concerned about finance, 4d is the best option

4 dimensions mobility means rollers can move up and down, left and right, forward and backward, circular, and most importantly, individual.

Osaki offers 7 different 4d Massage Chairs in its Pro Series, but there is none in the Basic Series.

If you have a smaller budget, you may sacrifice the separate adjustability of rollers and can look at 3d models.

In the Basic series, there are only 2 products that have 3d technology, and 7 in the Pro series.

Tracking

It’s about the rollers’ numbers and placements. More rollers can give a more comprehensive massage experience.

S, L and Full Body Massage

As educated consumers, we should look for an SL-Track or at least an L-Track massage chair (again depends on your budget).

Body Scan: Modern massage chairs can scan your body and adjust themselves based on your physical appearance, pressure points, and weak spots.

Most Osaki models offer computerized full-body scanning, but lower models only give you smaller body area scanning.

Zero Gravity

Massage chairs can get a position that decreases the force of the earth’s gravity.

Pressure Free Sitting Position

Zero-G is almost a standard feature that most Osaki massage chairs provide (the exact number is 27 out of 30).

Heating

According to a recent study, “Warming the muscles and other tissues can increase the positive effects of massage sessions.”

The best heating options that Osaki brand massage chairs offer are

  • Lumbar Heating (4 Basic Model)
  • Lower Back and Foot Heating (1 Basic Model)
  • Back Heating (2 Basic Models)
  • Back and Calf Heating (2 Pro Models)
  • Lumbar and Calves Heating (2 Pro Models)

It’s crucial to understand that if you need to target a specific area, heating options on that part can be beneficial.

Number of Auto (Pre-Set) Programs

Even though we strongly recommend manually setting your personal massage therapies, having more auto-set programs could be practical.

Color Options

Eventually, massage chairs are suitable for home use. We can define them as an essential tool under the home furniture category.

So, having a color range is a plus.

Price Range

This is most probably the first thing you must consider.

Osaki has a broader range of price options for its products. In general, the Pro series is more expensive than the Basic series.

The pricing starts from $2,000 and goes up to $16,000.

Other Features

Beyond the above distinctive elements, we also identified common features that most models have, such as,

  • Roller
  • Leg (and/or foot) Extension,
  • Space Saving Technology,
  • Specified Neck, Shoulder, Arm, and Hand, Back or Lumbar, Hip, Thigh, Seat, Calf, and Foot Massages,
  • Adjustable Massage Intensity,
  • Removable Covers and Pads,
  • Auto Timer,
  • Media Connection,
  • Average Height Range: from 5’0″ to 6’4″ (taller customers can look for leg extensions),
  • Average Weight Range: 285 lbs (130 kg),
  • Delivery Options (Free or Paid Express Delivery).

And lastly, let’s talk about Warranty Options.

The brand proposes 3 separate warranties for different products.

  • All Basic series and 10 Pro series Devices have a 1-year Free Labor and 3-year Free Part Replacements,
  • Only 1 Pro series device has 2-Year Free Labor and Part Replacements,
  • And 5 Pro massage chairs come with a 3-year Free Labor and 5-year Free Part Replacements warranty.

The company also offers warranty extensions for labor and parts if you’re ready to pay an extra fee.

History of Osaki Brand – Who Made Osaki Chair

Established in Dallas, Texas, in 2007, Ota World has 3 well-known massage chair brands:

  • Osaki
  • Titan
  • Apex

Although the Osaki word seems deceptive, the company is 100% American, not Japanese or Korean, with more than 250 sales partners throughout North America.

Osaki massage chairs are mostly manufactured in China, and a small percentage of the labor is done in Taiwan. But the idea, design, quality control, sales, and after-sales have been performed in the US.

Ota World (and the peer company Titan World) has heavily invested in research and development and seen exponential sales figures since its establishment.

Right now, they are one of the top massage chair and portable massage products brands in the North American market.

Osaki Massage Chair: The Sales Estimations

There are no clear statements about the sales figures for Osaki massage chairs, but it is estimated that the company has a revenue of $1m to $6m.

Also, the average investment required for being an Osaki dealer is between $40k to $130k. And we know the total number of dealers is around 250.

So, as a simple guessing game, we can say that the company is selling over 1000 units of massage chairs per year.

Which is better: Osaki or Titan

Osaki and Titan brands are actually the products of the same company, Ota World. Therefore, finding a significant difference between the two brands in a broad sense is highly unlikely.

However, as the name suggests, we observed that the Titan branded products are more durable and sturdy

Of course, our sample size is not enough to make a clear distinction between these two brands.

Summary

An American Company, Ota World, is the owner of the Osaki brand. Currently, they have around 30 Osaki branded massage chairs on the market.

These chairs are sold as either Basic or Pro Series.

14 Osaki Basic Massage Chairs

16 Osaki Pro Massage Chairs

The latter is more expensive on average but also has more advanced features such as 4d roller mobility, SL-Track roller design, smart computerized body scan, full-body heating, number of pre-set programs, and a long-term free warranty (up to 5 years for part replacements).
